2016 PL Week Six insert

This week, I am sharing an insert from my Valentine's Day insert using this cut file that I posted.

This is a 6x12 spread. I decided not to post my entire Week Six spread because, honestly, I did not like how it came out and I had already stuck things down so I couldn't undo it! But we will move past that!

This insert is about our Valentine's date to dinner and to see Star Wars! Such a good movie!

I layered the 4x6 cut file on some patterned paper from Citrus twist. Then I added a shaker pocket and sewed it up using my new Janome Sew Mini. I stapled a Citrus Twist cork piece on top and filled the pocket with tiny wood hearts from the Studio Calico Savannah documenter kit. Cute! I could have used my fuse to close the shaker pocket, but I wanted to use my sewing machine, so I did.

The bottom gold heart card is also from the SC documenter kit. I layered some washi and the XOXO gold die cuts from the Citrus Twist kit. Then I sewed through it to hold them down.

On the back of the layout is an instagram I took of us wearing out 3D glasses giving the movie a thumb's up, along with our tickets.

This is a 4x6 journal card from Studio Calico. I had a lot to say about this movie but I couldn't type because the journal card had lines on it. I don't know how I would line those up with my printer! So I hand wrote what I could and was satisfied that I got the event documented, even if I couldn't capture all of the details.
