2016 PL Week Seven
Welcome back for Week Seven! I tried to keep it super simple this week with a one-page layout because I really *overdid* it last week! Read on for details!
The top right photo is on my bed with a cup of coffee on Sunday morning. I thought the "shine" die cut from CT was perfect, as the sun was streaming through the window and everything was calm and perfect! I stitched through the die cut and added a few embellishments. Really digging labels on this layout!
These two cards are from Studio Calico. The left one is from the February kit. It's hard to see but the letters are all different colors and it really fit in with this week's multicolor layout. The card on the right is from a freebie cut apart I got with a class I took. It also came with the label. I stamped with an old SC stamp and added the "dining in" cut apart from Citrus Twist. Side note, that is a Greek salad we made for dinner and it was SO GOOD! If I ever decide to branch out with my blogging to add in some cooking, this recipe will be in it!
This card is from Citrus Twist. I wasn't sure what to do with the silver alphas, but I think it worked out here! I like how the alphas have a multi-color shine so it went with the look. The right photo is a selfie I took in the car on my way out to dinner/movie. I took a picture of us while we were out but it ended up being underexposed and fuzzy and there was no amount of editing that would help! I added cut aparts from the CT kit. I really love those cut-aparts! I also added my ticket to the card on the left of these two.
This is my weekly card with just a tiny bit of embellishing. The photo on the right is of my dog being tucked into bed. Look at her, she thinks she's people!!
The photo on the bottom right is a giant plate of sushi from being out with some friends early in the week. It was happy hour so it was crazy cheap! I thought about including the receipt but it wouldn't fit because our order was so big!
In the end, I really liked how this came out. I love playing with paper and adding more and more and more, but sometimes it's good to practice keeping it simple. So, thanks for reading!
Looks fun!! Just LOVE the photo of the pup being tucked into bed - lol!
