Craft Room Organization Part II

Welcome back to Part II of my craft room organization! Last time, I talked about my journal cards and how my Raskog is generally divided. This post has a little information about how I try to wrangle my embellishments.

On the second shelf of my Raskog are my embellishments, along with a few roller stamps and paints.

I separated the embellishments generally by color family into the boxes the old Studio Calico kits used to come in. This makes it easy to find what I'm looking for when I want a certain color to match in my layout.

You should know that this is not *all* of my embellishments. I store some on the shelf next to my desk and I'll talk about that a little later.

As for my workspace, I leave my current kits on my desk for the month then I have a whole system for filing the stuff away and incorporating it into my stash when the next month's kits arrive. I got a couple of organizing bins from Home Goods to keep things upright since my desk is so small. My Studio Calico kits go on the right, along with my adhesives, and the Citrus Twist kits go on the left.

Also on my desk at all times are these little gelato containers that I put die cuts into. It makes it easy to find what I'm looking for and I feel like die cuts are tricky because they're all different sizes. These were free with the purchase of ice cream and that's a solution I can always get behind!

I also keep my most commonly used adhesives on my desktop. I definitely recommend you pick up a Tiny Attacher if you don't have one! I got one for Christmas and it has changed my scrapping!

To the left of my desk is an ugly black plastic shelf we picked up at Costco for the low low price of too-cheap-to-pass-up! It's not pretty but it does the job! I use these craft bins to store various things and I labelled them. I got these at Costco but I hear a lot of people use Iris bins and they seem to do the same job, some even have adjustable internal compartments!

I also use the box my Seafoam Core Kit came in to store my extra adhesives, like refills for my glue dot runner and spare glue sticks.

That's it for Part II. Thanks for tuning in!

  1. I love my tiny attacher too. It's so interesting to me to see how others store things. I'm so enjoying this series, can't wait for the next installment.
