Fancy Pants Happy Place haul and some extras
Hey, everyone! Just wanted to do a quick post about a collection I picked up recently. I wasn't much one for buying supplies that weren't in my usual kit club, but I had a special project in mind when I bought these. I have been going back to do my 2014 instagrams as a PL album and I realized I had about a million *awesome* photos from a vacation to South Carolina with my fiance's family. I decided to stretch out of my 12x12 standard and I've been working on a 6x8 album.

I knew I wanted a summery happy collection but I didn't want anything overly hot pink. I found this collection, Fancy Pants Happy Place, and the colors are amazing and fit perfectly with a laid-back beach vacation vibe.
I picked up the Brag Cards. It is so hard to tell what the cards look like so I tried to snap a photo of the back of the box so you could see what's included. It's a good mix of designed filler cards and cards with space for journaling. They're also a mix of vertical and horizontal orientation.
Update: These cards are out of stock on Scrapbook.com but are available on Amazon here.
This blue ombre stripes has just a hint of the ocean waves in it without being too literal or overwhelming.
These little triangles are so trendy! And I love the pops of yellow to go with the beachy sunshine!
This paper would be awesome cut down into a 4x6 pocket as a filler card and the stripes are a nod to the nautical.
So many plus signs! Plus signs everywhere!
Bright tropical floral- love it! That blue is my favorite!
This paper has a tropical little bird on it. There's also a card that says "free" with the bird on it and a flair with the bird on it. These are PERFECT for documenting my nephew's first frolic in the ocean!
I also got these Crate Paper Craft Market Marquee Thickers. I am using them for a very specific cover page idea I had, along with this Heidi Swapp wood veneer piece.
Finally, one of the things I am *most* excited about is this chipboard to use with my Silhouette. It is thinner than I was expecting, but that is okay because I know it won't destroy my Silhouette blade. I made a die cut using it then added paint, glitter, and even spray laquer and it held up really well!
hmmmm. This makes me want to go shopping! Ive been no buying anything since the AC move and really miss having pretty stuff to play with!
ReplyDeletePickings are a bit slim lately- I wonder how long until things start coming back!
