Vacation mini album title page

Today, I am sharing the title page to my album for my 6x8 mini album of my trip to Folly Beach, SC.
I cut down a 12x12 transparency I got in the Fancy Pants warehouse box. I thought the lines would look nice as a nautical theme and it goes with the outside of the album itself, which is navy and white stripes. I cut it to be the full length and width of the page protector then I punched holes in it. The transparency is very sturdy and I like the interest it adds as another layer on top of the photo.

I painted the Heidi Swapp You Are Here wood veneer pink and adhered it to the transparency. At first I glued it, but as I flipped the page, I saw it wasn't very secure, so I used my tiny attacher and it worked perfectly! This wood veneer is about $2.50, but it's money well spent when it adds so much style to the title page of an album!

I added the Crate Paper Craft Market Marquee thickers onto the large photo and slipped it into the pocket.

This was all very simple but I like how it came out! A bit of work to paint the wood veneer, but I wanted it to coordinate with the rest of the supplies I'd chosen for this project- the Fancy Pants Happy Place 6x6 pad, brag cards, and other embellishments that I wrote all about here.

Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for more layouts from this mini album!
